How to prepare for newborn session
I’m thrilled to work together to capture this incredible moment for your family. Below, you’ll find all the details and helpful tips to make the session a relaxed and memorable experience.
*Preparing for the Session:* I know the early days with a newborn are both joyous and exhausting. My goal is to ensure that the session is as easygoing and stress-free as possible, allowing us to capture the best images of your little one. Here are a few tips that make a big difference:
For Baby:
*Sleep & Feed*: Try to keep your little one awake before the session and plan a feeding just before arrival so they’re full and relaxed.
*Essentials to Bring*: Please bring extra bottles (formula or breast milk) and a pacifier, even if your baby doesn’t typically use one. They can help soothe baby into those sweet poses.
*Clothing*: Dress your baby in an easy-to-remove outfit to make transitions smoother.
*Colors/Props*: I’d love to hear about any color preferences or props you’d like me to include! Feel free to browse my page for ideas and let me know what stands out to you.
For Parents & Family
*What to Wear*: Simple is best! Try to avoid logos, busy patterns, and bold or neon colors. Soft, neutral tones like gray or ivory work wonderfully. For moms, a fresh blowout and light makeup (lip gloss, mascara) look lovely on camera. Consider neutral colors for manicures, and if you’re nursing, wear something comfortable for easy feeding.
*Snacks & Comfort*: Newborn sessions can last up to 4 hours, so I recommend bringing snacks and drinks to stay energized and comfortable.
*A Few Final Notes:* The best piece of advice I can offer is open communication. Each newborn and family is unique, so I welcome any questions or special requests—whether it’s wardrobe ideas, incorporating siblings, or special props. Thank you again for this opportunity. I’m looking forward to creating some beautiful memories together! Warmly,
