Bat Mitzvah and Family Portraits at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown, NJ

The last time I photographed this family from Marlboro, their middle son was celebrating his first birthday. Years later, we met again at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown for two new milestones: their youngest daughter’s first birthday and bat mitzvah portraits for their oldest daughter.

We made time for everyone during this session. The garden’s flowers and greenery gave us beautiful spots for portraits of the whole family, the three siblings together, and each child on their own. Their oldest daughter had space for bat mitzvah portraits that felt like her, while her baby sister’s pink dress and curious expressions brought a different kind of joy to the photos.

Seeing this family again reminded me why I love photographing returning clients. The little boy I once photographed for his first birthday is now a big brother, and the family has a new collection of images to mark who they are today. I’m grateful they trusted me to capture this chapter, too.
