A Family Session That Means So Much

There’s something especially meaningful about photographing families who have become friends. Christine is the mom of my middle daughter’s friend, and through our girls, we’ve built a friendship of our own. We’re not just fellow moms—we’re workout buddies, too!

Christine, thank you for trusting me to capture these precious moments with your growing family. It means so much to preserve this chapter for someone I know and care about. I can’t wait to see you back at the gym when you’re ready

Welcoming Your Baby:

The first days with your baby are filled with details you wish you could keep forever: tiny fingers resting in your hand, a soft cheek against your shoulder, and the feeling of holding someone you have only just met. A newborn session in Dumont NJ is a chance to preserve those moments in photographs that become part of your family’s story.

At Daria Kielek Photography, I create portraits that celebrate your baby and the connection you share. My Dumont studio welcomes families looking for a thoughtful, personal photography experience in Bergen County.

Planning Your Newborn Session in Dumont NJ

Contact me during pregnancy so we can discuss your due date, availability, and ideas. We will confirm the session timing once your baby arrives.

Before your visit, think about the photographs you would love to have in your home. Do you imagine a simple portrait of your baby, a photograph together, or a collection that tells the story of your growing family? Sharing your preferences helps us plan with purpose.

A Gentle Approach to Baby Photography

Newborn photographs do not need elaborate styling to feel meaningful. I love simple compositions, soft textures, and colors that keep attention on your baby.

The session moves at your little one’s pace, with time for feeding, comforting, and settling. There is no expectation that your baby will follow a perfect schedule. Those pauses are part of the experience, giving us room to work patiently.

My goal is to create photographs you will enjoy looking at long after this early chapter has passed.Sleeping newborn wearing a purple flower headband, nestled in a loose purple wrap on a purple blanket. Family Portraits With Your New Arrival

Your baby’s first photographs can also celebrate the people welcoming them. A portrait in your arms captures a different kind of detail: the way you hold them, look at them, and begin getting to know them.

If you would like to include older children, let me know while we plan. We can discuss your priorities and make room for both individual baby portraits and photographs together.

Preparing for Your Studio Visit

Choose comfortable clothing in colors that work well together. Simple pieces help keep the focus on faces and connection.

Bring your usual baby essentials, and share any questions about outfits or meaningful items beforehand. You do not need to arrive with everything figured out; planning together is part of creating a session that feels personal.

Think about how you want to experience your portraits after the session. An album invites you to revisit the whole collection, while a wall portrait brings a favorite moment into everyday life.
